Good afternoon! I’m late accessing my blog as we decided on a field trip this morning.
Hubby was given a rather posh mobile phone yesterday as a neighbour has upgraded hers. He hasn’t been happy with the one he has, especially as it tends to dial the emergency services of its own accord unless he turns it off completely.
We thought we’d get him a similar PAYG deal that I have, but to do that, we needed a specific supermarket.
So off we went.
We didn’t need anything else, so it was pure indulgence on our part, though we ended up getting some nice crusty baguettes to go with our stew, I treated myself to a small bar of chocolate and we bought some flowers for our neighbour to say ‘Thank You’.
Sadly we have come home with just that, as the queue to get inside the shop we wanted was tremendous. Last time we went, we didn’t want anything in there anyway so only had to go in three, and had no problems whatsoever. We will have to work on our timing for this one.
Hubby did want something from a shop in the High Street so I stayed in the car and people watched. Several were wearing masks, but it was surprising how lax most of the others were on the social distancing, which made me wonder if they were holidaymakers. The town is as quiet as our own, and the local media believe both will take years to recover, if at all.
Meanwhile on the block we have some new residents.
Well, not exactly in our road, but Hubby walked back round and took these.
The park is some considerable distance from where these little babes were today. Both of us think Momma duck is thinking outside the
lake box and bringing her babies inland to keep them safe, or they have recently hatched in someone’s garden.
Keep well and safe everyone.
