May brings a variety of anniversaries and birthdays, including ours and mine. It will be 24 years since my Dad passed away, and Mum would have been 98 this year.
The day started at 4.41 with Maggie wanting to go out. The usual squat bot, and back to bed until 6.30 then another paw to go out. Not a perfect poo but at least it was identifiable.
I got up at 7.45, took my BP and checked the weight. I’ve lost a pound so the scales were being nice.
Maggie’s had her first walk and is a little stiff in her shoulders. The damp weather doesn’t help so we’ll keep her warm and massage her joints which usually helps plus we can give her some anti-inflammatory medication later. She didn’t want her breakfast this morning, but that could be because I didn’t put extra chicken in it.
Dinner today is fish for Hubby and tomato pasta for me, so I’ll add some grated cheese to it for her. She should have been a mouse.
Hubby is checking out new laptops as mine is failing fast. It doesn’t help that I’ve worn off a lot of the letters so have sticky labels on most (thank you self adhesive card letterings), but it keeps buzzing and beeping at me. He’s already repaired the cable, and it would appear that the circuit board has a crack in it. Good having my own personal laptop engineer, and because we have identical models, he can use mine for spares. The only problem with his is the X key, which only works periodically.
Finding a replacement is turning out to be a game as should there be a problem, local suppliers aren’t open for returns and ordering on-line faces delays of weeks rather than days. Let’s see what happens after the 7th and if anything is reopening.
As usual, not much on the agenda today. The weather is a bit iffy, but we’ve washed the dog blankets and they were dry in two hours. The sky is sort of patchy blue, grey and white so you never know what’s going to happen.
Have a good day yourself. 🙂
thanks. Take care
Have a great day Di.
you too
Thanks 😊
The first of reopening is starting today. Yesterday a lightning storm passed through the area, it crashed a tree that I remember walking by in my teens. It had to be over 100 years old. Have stress free day and stay safe.
What a shame about the tree. Keep safe.
I’m glad that Maggie is feeling better and that you have your own personal laptop engineer. 😂 Have a great day, Di.
you too. We are no closer to finding me a laptop unfortunately.
I hope you find a new laptop soon! And I hope Maggie’s joints are ok! Sending hugs to all of you! Xxxx
Getting a new laptop is proving difficult, but although Maggie’s still stiff she’s doing OK.
