Fandango has a thing going about flashback posts, and this is one I wrote on May 1st last year. Reading it now, I don’t think it was too bad!!

The Awakening
He had nothing when he volunteered for the program.
No family, no prospects, no home, no ties. He was perfect.
They had tapped into his memory and deleted all knowledge of his former life.
Over the years, they had removed, improved and replaced vital components of his body.
By trial and error, he was practically indestructible now, one of a hundred ‘ideal soldiers’ of the future who would obey their superiors without question or conscience.
Each stood sedated in the ranks ready to strike when the time was right.

I think he was the prototype for a terminator as he’s self aware, so the memory scrub didn’t completely work!
