Share Your World 4-27-2020

Wow!  The last SYW for April 2020.  Man!  It’s unsettling how fast slow time can go.
Wow indeed Melanie!

Questions:

Do guns protect people or kill people?  Or both?
Yes.

Is it more important to be respected or liked?
Toughie, though you don’t have to necessarily like someone to respect them.
This might explain that comment!
Nice to have both though.

Is having a big ego a negative or  positive trait?  (yeah I know.  Duh. But there ought to be one “gimme’ in the pile)
Depends what your ego is all about. You can be a genuinely nice person with a big personable ego and not be an absolute ass, or you can be a genuine ass with an even bigger ego and sadly can’t see the difference.

Depending on your point of view, is death a new beginning?
As no-one has come back to tell us (maybe), I see death as a doorway from one existence to another. As the conscious mind shuts down in one, who knows what is on the other side and how we, the departed, will embrace or fear it?

My gratitude is simply not being alone

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too. On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

  1. Thanks Di for Sharing Your World!! You are blessed to have Miss Maggie and your hubby to be alone with. Or should that read be restricted with. No, that doesn’t sound right either…you know what I mean! 😆 I like your viewpoints on these philosophical posers today! 🙂
