The Challenge:
Do you have reoccurring dreams about a particular person (known or unknown)? When you think about what you are looking for in a life partner does a particular image come to mind? What characteristics are you looking for in said partner? Have you ever encountered someone and felt an instantaneous and inexplicable bond with that person reciprocated or not? What does soul mate mean to you? Do you just know where someone is/what they are doing/feeling intuitively? Have you ever felt the presence of someone who wasn’t physically in the room?
Swans mate for life. These are my pictures from my trip to New Zealand in 2010.
I did a post on this when I first started my blog. You can read it here.
Hubby is my soul mate. He advertised for one and got me. We hit it off straight away and got married exactly two years after our first meeting in 1989. It was a good move.
Coming from totally different backgrounds, I don’t think there is any way either of us could have imagined the other for a life partner. We don’t have the same taste in music or films, though they do overlap sometimes, and these days our eating habits are different due to health issues.
Our strength is that we are a good team. We work well together, seeing a different approach to problems and coming up with solutions, some of which are completely out of the box or even off the wall.
It’s not all a bed of roses though, we have disagreements like everyone else but a mutual respect for the other’s point of view and thus agree to differ.
We always know when something is on the other’s mind, and equally know that when they are ready, they will talk about it. We have worries and concerns, but I know this, had he not been by my side through my cancer, my attitude and acceptance of the situation may not have been as it was.
My world would be a sadder and empty place without him being a part of it. He is more than my husband. He is the other half of me.
Swans and penguins mate for life. The pictures are so beautiful. Ohh, that’s such a sweet tribute to your husband. Team work is very much required for a relationship. Hope you and your family are safe and well. Stay safe. Take care.
Thanks Shweta. You too
You guys are the perfect couple.
We do OK and realise how lucky we are to have each other.
You’re indeed. 💖💖💖
How beautiful!
Thanks Yves.
What a beautiful tribute to your husband. I met my husband online, and I thank God nearly eveyday that he looked past race and saw a soul mate.
We are extremely lucky to have each other. Like a comfy pair of slippers, just a bit tatty round the edges.
