Welcome to The Three Things Challenge.
Every day I’ll give you three things that will hopefully trigger your creativity.
You don’t have to use them all if you don’t want to, simply read the prompt and see what comes to mind.
You can use the 3TC, #threethingschallenge or TTC as a tag and the new logo if you wish.
There are no restrictions regarding length, style, or genre apart from keeping it family friendly.
Invite us along by creating a pingback to this post, then leave your link in the comments so that other people can read your writings and I’ll see it to respond to you directly. While you’re there, why not check out some of the other posts too!
I schedule the challenge to go out around 6.30am UK time, so as pingbacks have to be approved manually, they might not show immediately if I’m late accessing my blog.
I appreciate your continued support. Thank you all so much.
As always, have fun and I’ll be back to read your responses.
Your three things today are:
VIOLIN
WIRE
HANDLE
Here’s my effort:
Rosy wasn’t exactly musically minded, but her grandmother had left her a violin in her will, so she felt she ought to try and at least learn how to play it.
‘Hey Mom!’ she yelled having taken it out of its case.
‘One of the wires is broken.’
‘It’s a string dear, not a wire,’
‘Oh, OK.’
Grabbing the instrument by the neck, she felt it for balance and put it up to her chin.
‘How am I supposed to hold the handle? My fingers don’t reach.’
Rosy’s Mom hung her head. It was going to be a long day.
๐ Good one Di! lol
Thanks Jen. You doing OK.
Yeah. Hanging in like everybody. Thanks ๐๐ผ

The VIOLIN was hung by a WIRE wrapped around the โHANDLE.โ

Hi Di, here is my effort:
Can you get a handle on how to play your violin?
No, they are strings, not wires. You do have a lot to learn.
Finesse is needed, an appreciation for the instrument.
Give it a go and try not to emulate the sound of a cat in considerable distress.
Maybe I should wait a year or two before you give any sort of recital?
With only four strings, you wouldnโt think it was all that hard, would you?
Forget about buying a Stradivarius, concentrate on the twenty dollar one from Aldi.
At least you know which end to handle it from. Things are looking up.
Like it Michael. Have a good day.
The joys of motherhood and it was going to get much worse as she learns to play! ๐
I had a friend who tried to learn the violin. The cat always looked nervous.
I am not surprised ๐
