There was a time when everyone was AFRAID. The sense of ALARM hit everybody, whoever they were. People put a BOLT on their doors as well as many other things as a precaustion. It was not a time to BRUSH with anybody. The BYPASS that went around the town was eerily empty. All events were CANCELLED. No one did their usual CIRCUIT of the park in a morning any more. One or two people were still going around on FOOT however.

It was a strange time, but many people exhibited a GRACE that they had never exhibited before. Though there was the odd JOKER here and there. Just saying “Hello” to someone was a great OCCASION.

The whole world was in PANIC, and it even reached Little Bigley. They heard on the radio that there was the occasional PUNCH up in the stores in the towns and cities, but…

I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have an elderly dog called Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.
