Tale Weaver – #267 – Fairytale – Fairyland – 19th March

Oh I love these, a time when we are invited to escape the realities of current events and retire to a world of dreams, magic and wonder.
Thanks Michael!

This week write about an imaginary fairyland. What are the features you notice about your particular fairyland?
Who are the inhabitants?
Is it a peaceful harmonious environment?

Imagination is a wonderful thing. Everyday worries and anxieties can be pushed into the background and we can relax in a place where all is well.
‘Well’ is personal to the individual, so one person’s fairyland won’t necessarily appeal to another.
I would love to find a place where animosity and greed doesn’t exist. Somewhere where there is no confrontation, and everything is simply beautiful to behold.
Who could not enjoy the sight of unicorns frolicking in the meadows, fairies dusting their horns with star glitter as they leap over rainbows with a flash of their silvery tails.
Who would not relish the idea that they could touch the stars just by stretching out their fingers and inviting them to dance across their skin.
One could be in awe of being kissed by raindrops, Nature’s warm tears forever cleansing.
No pain, no sorrow, a permanent sense of wholeheartedness and warmth, and should we forget or lose our way, a gentle nudge from the celestial nymph forever on our shoulder to tickle us with joy and laughter with a touch of their wand.
We can all dream. Sometimes, our dreams become our salvation as we all need a retreat in which to replenish our flagging spirits.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have recently lost our beloved dog Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney, and now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of my GSD so had hers done too. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.
