These week Frank has given us the them of spread.
Ha! First thing I thought of was Marmite.
Hubby and I are your original Love it and Hate it couple. I can’t stand the smell of the stuff let alone the taste, but he loves it.
Love is holding your nose whilst spreading it on toast for your beloved when he’s not feeling well. Urgh!!
I’ve used the following photos before, but these are blankets I made when we were in the cottage (2007 -2014). Each square took me two hours to complete and I made three blankets in all, one for each bedroom. One had 80 squares, another 96 and the biggest 110.
When we sold up, I gave the single to my Mum to wrap round her legs when she sat in her chair by the patio window to watch the birds and squirrel that came into my sister’s garden.
We had one on the bunk in the boat and the other in a sealed container with a lot of other stuff we’d kept, so we only have the two now.

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes!
In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too.
On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts.
From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives.
We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.
Ooh gorgeous!
thanks Paula
They are very nice.
thank you. Worst bit was sewing them altogether!

My mother went wild with the “Granny Square” crochet back in the 1970s. We had blankets and belts and ponchos, and even a vest or 3… Only the blankets survived!
I crocheted myself a waistcoat to wear with a black trouser suit. Both bit the dust a long time ago.

Awe how nice! Did you crochet them? Or knit them? You are very talented! xoxo
Crochet. Each square took me two hours and kept me warm when I sewed them altogether.
Amazing, I’d love to be able to crochet 🙂
thank you
