FOWC with Fandango — Visualize

If you read my previous post, you will appreciate the link.

Many years ago (1981 in fact) I didn’t have access to a piano and the song Memory from Cats was very popular. I stood at the bar in a pub and tried to visualize a keyboard, and once I had that in my head, I started to ‘play’ the bar cloth.
When I eventually got to a piano some weeks later, i sat down to play and it was almost note perfect…… wrong key of course (F#) but you could identify it.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have an elderly dog called Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

Fascinating! I bet your math and music skills are linked together in this amazing feat of memory.

  3. Wow, you must have an ear for music! I would have loved to hear that song played!

  4. Cool technique, and cool take on the prompt. Visualizing is ‘key’ to learning and problem solving.
