Three Things Challenge #165

Welcome to The Three Things Challenge.
Every day I’ll give you three things that will hopefully trigger your creativity.
You don’t have to use them all if you don’t want to, simply read the prompt and see what comes to mind.
You can use the 3TC, #threethingschallenge or TTC as a tag and the new logo if you wish.
There are no restrictions regarding length, style, or genre apart from keeping it family friendly.
Invite us along by creating a pingback to this post, then leave your link in the comments so that other people can read your writings and I’ll see it to respond to you directly. While you’re there, why not check out some of the other posts too!
I schedule the challenge to go out around 6.30am UK time, so as pingbacks have to be approved manually, they might not show immediately if I’m late accessing my blog.

I appreciate your continued support. Thank you all so much.
As always, have fun and I look forward to reading your responses.

Your three things today are:

Here’s my offering:

I nearly lost a finger giving the dog a biscuit, so now I hold it in a clenched fist.
I can’t be cross with her though, her eyesight’s failing after all.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have recently lost our beloved dog Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney, and now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of my GSD so had hers done too. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

  3. Cute, yet sad mini-story. I find my grand fur babies (Boston Terriers) become overly anxious with regard to treats and all family members have to be cautious.

    • Maggie’s peripheral vision is failing and she can’t judge distance, so when it comes to food, biscuits and fingers occupy the same space!

      • Oh dear – I don’t know what to say – sorry Di – tis tough when pets age.

      • She’s 15 June, so like all of us, age is taking its toll and leaving its mark. We just make sure there’s plenty of light for her, and I have little battery PIRs that come on when she gets off the bed, walks into the corridor for a drink and then back into the bedroom.
