Oh, memories of our wedding day!
It dawned gloriously sunny, and because it was a special day, we both had morning showers! LOL
When Hubby-to-be came back into the bedroom, this was sitting on the pillow for him:
Ours was a registry office ceremony as we’d both had a trial run in the marriage stakes.
We met our guests at the door and the Registrar said she would wait for the rest of our party to arrive.
I pointed out they were all there, all seven of them, nine including us, so everyone took a row to fill out the room.
That was twenty nine years ago and we’re still going strong!

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes!
In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too.
On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts.
From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives.
We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.
Does this mean today is your anniversary? If it is, Happy Anniversary!! Wishing you all the best for at least another 29 years!
Thank you Fransi ,though our anniversary isn’t until May We met two days before my 33rd birthday and got married exactly two years after the day we met. It was a good move!!
It definitely was 😊
🙂
Awww! Happy Anniversary! We will be 27 years in December! :)Jen
May for us. Best stamp I ever purchased!
My parents had 58 years. I think you are well on your way. Congratulations.
Wonderful Pam. Mine had almost 46 as Dad died in the May and their anniversary was in August.
What a fantastic beginning to a wonderful journey.
We had a terrific day, doing it the way we wanted, nice and quiet. The birds did well as our guests threw rice crispies and sugar puffs because paper confetti wasn’t allowed. We all went for a meal in the local pub afterwards, and then left to catch the train for our honeymoon in Amsterdam.
A celebration of love, unburdened by expectations of guests. ❤️
Congratulations! Bob and I were married for 21 1/2 years. I’m sure it would have kept going….Memories are wonderful.
Thank you. Hard to believe we’ve been together almost half our life times! Anniversary in May, two days before my birthday, so we have a double celebration.
Very nice! Can’t wait to hear how you celebrate!
Our 25th was a riot as it was my 60th too, so our friend had the dog overnight and we had a night in a hotel with a big bath bubbles and a rubber duck! We were living on the boat at the time and this was extreme luxury!!
Lovely memories, well done to you both 💜
Thanks Willow. It was a good day.
Lovely 💜
