Just to fill you in.
I’m late accessing my blog today as Maggie had her head X-ray this morning and has had the lump on her face removed.
Tissue samples have been sent away and she has also had a tooth taken out.
The vet doesn’t think there is anything untoward, but there is a small cavity in the bone so something has been going on and that’s what we’re waiting to find out.
More antibiotics and poor Maggie doesn’t know which way is up, bless her.
Don’t ask the cost as it was more than I’d bargained for, but I can still cover it OK.
Hubby has gone off to a GP’s appointment to discuss his blood test results from last week, and when he gets back, will be giving her a bath as she STINKS!
I can’t see if it’s because she had an accident as she seems clean, but it is definitely offensive to the nostrils, though we know of course it’s not her fault.
We have to go back in ten days for the stitches to be removed, by which time the results should be back. Hopefully it will just be an abscess which has now been addressed.
Now we just have to encourage her to eat, so I’ve scrambled a egg for her as her tummy is squelching away, and she has had a good long drink since she got home.
I’ve walked her (groggily) round the block but she hasn’t done anything, though I think she wants to as she is always going to the door asking to go outside.
Typically it’s miserable, and alternating between rain, snow and sleet, though there were hailstones earlier. Great (not).
I’ve got darts tonight, but Hubby has said he is content to stay home with her. However, I think he’s in for a restless evening because of her pacing and I shall have an interrupted night watching over her. Roll on the morning.
I will keep you ALL in my prayers.
Thanks Pam, I appreciate it. It’s going to be a long night
Aww. Poor girl. I hope everything will be fine from now. Hopefully Maggie will sleep it off. X
Thanks Liz. She seems quite content at the moment.
It is such a worry isn’t it bless she should be on the mend by tomorrow though anesthesia can linger. I do empathize because Ruby has been unwell since Thursday. First she vomited, then didn’t eat for over a day. Two visits to the vets, two injections, and now antibiotics. We have had restless day and disturbed night as the diorreha was every half hour. Luckily it is finally abating.
Poor Ruby. They try so hard to warn us don’t they. Maggie’s sleeping now, so hopefully she’ll have a good night.
I do hope she and you have a good night sending love ππ
Thanks Willow. β€ You and Ruby too.
ππππ night night π
π
All the best.
thank you
π
Good thatβs all been taken care of and I hope Maggie settles down and you all have a peaceful night. Sending positive thoughts for the results.
Thanks Fransi. She’s sleeping now, has eaten some scrambled egg and ‘performed’ when Hubby took her out earlier.
Wonderful π
Poor Maggie… I have everything crossed that it was just an abscess!
we shall know in due course, but for now she is OK and sleeping.
Sending kind thoughts your way x
Thank you. My furbaby is curled up beside me fast asleep.
Awwr xxx
Hope the worst is over and that she will be OK! Prayers that you can have peace as you wait to hear!
Thank you. We’ll get the results next week
Bless her. I hope she is startin to pick up.
Thanks Sue. She seems much brighter today.
I hope she keeps picking up now
Thanks Sue. She’s eating normally so that’s a good sign.
That must be a relief!
Current scores on the doors, wees 6, poos nil. Waiting for the first ‘motion’ and then I can breathe again.
I can understand that completely!
Thinking of you, and wishing poor Maggie a complete recovery. Hugs x
thanks. She’s doing well today..
I’m praying
Thank you. She’s had a good day today and is eating and drinking well.
thank goodness π
π Yep. Almost back to normal and the swelling in her face has gone down
