She felt herself floating, then travelling pell mell towards home.
The landscape became a blur as she gathered speed, the old farmhouse her destination.
They’d warned her to expect disorientation, then suddenly warning bells interrupted her thought patterns and the image was lost.
She was back in the lab where Time Travel was still experimental.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have an elderly dog called Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

  7. bearmkwa says:

Time travel… would I do it? No, don’t think I would. Some things only need to be experienced once in life. Great story!

  8. susanmehr says:

Great story, time travel but travelling back in time would not change the present and how can one travel to the future when the future has not happened, a real paradox, that’s the question I like to ask.

  9. Dale says:

At least she made it back!!

  10. A good shot at it, interrupted! You had me thinking, “Darn! I hope they try again”. Good job.

  11. granonine says:

Aw, what a let-down, poor thing. I hope they’ll keep on trying 🙂
