Another Sock Moment

Half a pound gain this week, despite my efforts and extra exercise.
I even walked down to group tonight, just over ¾ of a mile, plus the four walks with the dog today, six yesterday and walking into town twice during the week.
One friend lost 2½ pounds which I was really pleased for her as she’d gained last week.
Another put on eight ounces, same as me, but our star of the night has to be our self saboteur from last week who lost a whopping SIX POUNDS this week and has achieved her five stone certificate. Wonderful!

No class for me next week as our usual venue is hosting its pantomime and although I was offered a lift, I’m taking a week off.

Oh well, dentist tomorrow, weather permitting. Seems we have snow in towns about 30 miles away, and guess how far the dentist is?

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too. On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

Don’t give up. Sometimes when you’ve done as well as you have your body plays with you for a while. It’s happened to me and I remember when I used to go to Weight Watchers meetings it was discussed a lot. It’s like your metabolism is testing your resolve. Hope you don’t have weather problems tomorrow.

I think the more we worry about the weight, the harder it is to take off. This last month was kind of busy and though I was watching my diet, I wasn’t really paying much attention to it. And then I got the cough so a bit of over indulgence too. But I did loose 12 pounds in one and a half month.

  3. Don’t forget muscle weighs more. 😊

  4. Unfortunately everyone has these variations. It’s the body doing its stuff. You’ve done great. And you will do great soon.
