Welcome to The Three Things Challenge.
Every day I’ll give you three words or things that will hopefully trigger your creativity.
No need to use them all if you don’t want to, simply read the prompt and see what comes to mind.
You can use the 3TC, #threethingschallenge or TTC as a tag and the new logo if you wish.
There are no restrictions regarding length, style, or genre apart from keeping it family friendly.
Invite us along by creating a pingback to this post, then leave a link in the comments so that other people can read your writings and I’ll see it to respond to you directly.
Bear in mind although the challenge will go out around 6.30am UK time, pingbacks have to be approved manually so might not show immediately if I’m late accessing my blog.
Thanks for all your continued support. I look froward to reading your responses.
Have fun!
Your three words/things today are:
STONE
SINGLE
CELL
Here’s my offering:
The two were in competition but deliberately attended different classes, so contacted each other after weigh in.
Mary’s cell rang.
‘I’ve got my stone certificate!’ Angie squealed. ‘How did you do?’
Mary was quiet for a few seconds then said grumpily
‘I didn’t lose a single ounce.’
‘Never mind.’ Angie said. ‘At least you didn’t gain, and there’s always next week. Don’t forget you did have the firm’s party this week.’
Mary brightened. She had forgotten and was so glad Angie was her friend as she was always encouraging.
‘Next week I’m aiming for a two pound loss,’ she stated.
‘I’ll match you, and if we do it, the cream cakes are on me!’
‘Done!!’ Mary laughed, already feeling much better.
