Yay! Melanie’s here with her Share Your World questions. I just love Mondays!
When was the last time you tried something new?
It would have to be something at one of the SW taster nights. I remember a little while ago someone did some baked chickpea crisps and they were rather nice.
If you were forced to eliminate every physical possession from your life with the exception of what could fit into a single backpack, what would you put in it?
Meds, toilet tissue, soap, toothpaste, towel, change of underwear and socks, tee shirt, phone, torch, spare batteries, bottled water, cash. I’d wear a thick jumper, coat and heavy duty shoes.
What simple fact do you wish more people understood?
That not everyone is as rich or have an income as high as TPTB assume.
What food item do you go through fastest in your house? (credit to Sandmanjazz)
I originally answered Vanilla yogurt for me, but Hubby currently has the munchies so all of the biscuits have gone and bread for toast is a close second.
Melanie asks us to share something in the way of gratitude. This week, it’s please feel free to share something that really makes you happy!
A slice of any of these homemade cheesecakes would make me VERY happy…….. until I got on the scales at weigh in! Still, I am grateful that despite everything, I have managed to stay within my set parameters since August.
That’s quite an achievement. 👍👍👍
I’m pleased.
👏👏👏
Thank you Di for Sharing Your World and for your loyal participation! Folks like you are the reason doing SYW is so much fun for me! 🙂 I think I’ve said before that it’s because you lost your weight in a healthy way and are continuing with those good habits that you’ve stayed on the slim side. Not to minimize your hard work in doing this of course! Congratulations! And good on ya for thinking of adding bum fodder to your back pack. That’s one thing I think most people forget about. In a crisis I’d like a fresh, relatively clean bum, because there would be more pressing issues to worry about. I’m adding toilet paper to my own kit! 🙂
Thanks Melanie. Good questions this week. Good news is I lost the pound I gained last week, so I am well chuffed and the reward chocolate biscuits (2) were very nice!
Homemade cheesecake sounds like a dream. I really don’t keep desserts in the house anymore — one of the hardest changes to adapt to after going gluten free but probably one of the hidden blessings, too — but cheesecake is my weakness.
Me too, especially since finding a recipe that requires no baking (other than melting the butter for the base) or use of gelatin.
Ooo those cheese cakes look so good. I would eat them and stay away from the scale for a while.
I did, and I did! They were rather good!
Which was your favorite!
I liked the marshmallow one best, thought the strawberry and chocolate was nice too, but because the fruit was fresh, didn’t keep as long. The choc chip was good too and I gave most of that one away as I couldn’t at it all myself as Hubby had a reaction to the cream.
Marshmallow cheesecake? That sounds amazing!
Very yummy.
