Fibbing Friday : my response for 17th January 2020

Here’s a picture of Maggie taken more recently. It’s really hard to believe she is 15 today, or 83 according to this chart
Here are my porkies for today:

1. What’s the difference between a hair and a whisker?
Dogs chase hares, but cats eat wiskas
2. How many spots were there in 101 Dalmations?
I have no idea, I didn’t catch all their names.
3. What is the Flying Dog?
The pub in the next street.
4. Why do we say ‘sick as a dog?’
Clearing up after one usually makes us come out in sympathy.
5. What is meant by ‘going to the dogs’?
Sounds better than going down the pub every night, and I used to work there.
6. Who or what is ‘Goofy?’
It was supposed to be a planet but didn’t sound right so they named it Pluto instead.
7. Where is the Dog Star?
Next to the Flying Dog.
8. Where will you find puppies on a roll?
Either on the beach or rolling in something nasty and smelly in the forest.
9. What are hush puppies?
Gagged dogs or those in the Secret Service.
10. What is the hair of the dog?
One of the annoying things that manages to sneak onto my pillow and tickle my nose.

Hope you enjoyed these.
Over to Frank for next week’s questions.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have recently lost our beloved dog Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney, and now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of my GSD so had hers done too. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.
