We have a new challenge doing the rounds called The Decade Tag.
Rory has tagged me for this, and you can check out his post here
Play Along Guidelines
Please share a link to the creator of the tag-jesusluvsall.wordpress.com
Share some highlights for you over the past decade and if you want, a few low points
Tag whoever you wish to.
Ask them some questions
Use any picture appropriate for such a tag.
Going with the last guideline first, I’m going with Rory’s choice as it’s rather nice!
Highlights over the past decade:
Visiting Bro in NZ for two months in 2010.
Starting my blog in September 2013.
Buying the boat in 2014 and having almost three years as liveaboards.
Buying a (digital) piano after 4 years of not having one.
SIL’s visits from NZ
Celebrating our Silver Wedding Anniversary
The nightmare sale of the cottage in 2014
Health issues for all three of us, especially 2019
Getting breast cancer twice (but refusing to be defeated)
Losing Mum in 2018
Who to tag.
Rory has already nominated Sadje and Melanie, so I’m going to add
Teresa Grabs (so glad to see her back)
These are Rory’s questions to his selection of Taggettes
What have been your happiest moments between the years of January 2010 – Currently?
My NZ trip definitely and our time on the boat.
Do you think that in the last ten years all of your personality has come through or do you still think there is more to develop?
I have surprised myself this past year in particular with an inner strength I didn’t know I possessed. Maybe there are a few more layers of this onion to peel back.
Did you manage to tick off any ‘bucket list’ requirements over the last ten years – if so what were they?
Not exactly a bucket list, but I did have my trip to NZ.
Also I managed to reach my target weight last August and have stayed within the permitted parameters.
Did you have a good, bad, or fugly decade?
We are together, we faced it all together, we got through it together, we celebrated together, we laughed together, we cried together, we bitched together, but most of all, we enjoyed the good, confronted the bad, and swore at the ugly.
Time for me to add some questions now.
Is there any year in the past decade that stands out as the best?
Has your taste in music changed in the past ten years or do you think music in general has changed?
Are you heavier or lighter than you were ten years ago?
How many cars have you owned in the past decade?
