Frank’s challenge:
Welcome to week 194 of the Tuesday Photo Challenge!
As this is the first Tuesday Photo Challenge in the new year, I went looking for ideas that might be appropriate for this auspicious occasion. Going from the old to the new reminded me of passing from one room into the next, which led me to the theme of Portal. Of course, there are many types of portals to be found around the world, which makes me look forward to discover which among them will appear in your posts.
Your challenge is to share some portal that might be representative of the great adventure that lies ahead. Unleash your creative eye and let your mind open the portal… Most of all, have fun!!
Maggie was the one to find new pathways to explore in the woods, and we were quite content to follow her lead.
On our return to Lincolnshire in 2017, we re-visited the plantation and what were secret passageways had now been opened up by use and no longer a portal to mystic and new places for us.
The trees go on forever, but the forest either side of the pathway is no longer as dense or mystical as it was thanks to the Forestry Commission and ‘cultivation’.
This is Humphrey’s Stump thus named after a one eyed dog jumped up on it and sat waiting for his treats.
All these photos were taken in January 2018, so we might be visiting again soon to see how much it has changed. The woods themselves are timeless.
