Hello and welcome to The Three Things Challenge.
Every day I’ll give you three words that will hopefully trigger your creativity.
No need to use them all if you don’t want to, simply read the prompt and see what it brings to mind.
You can use 3TC, #threethingschallenge or TTC as a tag and I have a new logo for you this year.
There are no restrictions regarding length, style, or genre apart from keep it family friendly.
Invite us along by creating a pingback to this post, then leave a link in the comments so that other people can read your writings and I’ll see it to respond to you directly.
Bear in mind although the challenge will go out around 6.30am UK time, pingbacks have to be approved manually so might not show immediately if I’m late accessing my blog.
Above all, enjoy!
Your three words today are:
SLIPPER
AWARD
NUT
Here’s my offering:
For presentation night, she treated herself to a new outfit which flattered her figure and accessorized it with aΒ pair of peach satin slippers and matching purse.
No-one recognised her out of her overalls when she collected her award as Mechanic of the Year and was presented with a Golden Nut and Socket on a plinth.
The ‘Slipper Nut Award’ is handed out to the slimiest politician who believes the public is crazy enough to vote for him or her. And the award goes to . . . .!
Hahahaha! Love it!!

The dropped /lost NUT fell into my SLIPPER. I was awarded with a painful walk to the loo.
Ouch!
This is sort of a true story. I used to wear Keen sandals like this- https://www.keenfootwear.com/p/W-WHISPER.html?dwvar_W-WHISPER_color=1012229&cgid=womens_footwear_sandals
I love them for the big open space in the toe area.
I was adding shelled pecans to my cereal when a nut escaped and fell in the floor. I could not find it anywhere…. it showed up in my shoe (found later in the day). ππππ
Have done that myself, but now wear full slippers indoors. It’s the little gritty pebbles that creep through my clogs in the summer that are a pain.
For sure!! Road grit!
