Tag whoever you want.

Use any picture that you like for New Years.

I’ve done one and two.

This is my response to three.

My New Year memory consists of the New Year’s Eve parties my parents used to host. They were always fun, we played games such as Black Magic, Kiss the Blarney Stone and Building a house with people,  made punch which got weaker as the evening progressed as it was topped up with lemonade and nothing else, there was always plenty of food and laughter too.
One year most of the guests went down with some ‘flu type virus, so apparently my Dad and Grandfather met people off the bus with a tray of drinks and an invitation to join in. They made a lot of new friends that year, many of which remained so well after I’d left home.

Melanie has kept to the questions set by her nominator, which are

If you could celebrate the New Year anywhere. where would it be?
New Zealand with my brother.

What is your favorite snack food for New Years?
Crisps or cheese and crackers

Have you ever kept a New Year’s resolution? If so, what was it?
Not at New Year. We agreed to quit smoking in May 1991 so that we started married life as non smokers. Haven’t looked back.

What do you want to do with your blog this year?
I want to add more variety somehow as I do a lot of challenges.

Do you prefer a big party or a small gathering to celebrate?
Not into parties now and prefer it to be just the two of us.

Tagging now, and I’m going for
Gary aka
Paula aka
Jim aka

No obligation of course.

Picture for New Year has to be this one of the three of us (Dec 2018)
Despite everything 2019 threw at us, we are still here. Together.

Note: I’m recycling the questions posted here rather than asking new ones.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too. On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.
