It’s all over until New Year

The shops will be open as normal tomorrow, but for the last couple of days we have stuffed ourselves silly and watched DVDs!
We opened the last of our presents today.

Actually, we weren’t that bad. Yesterday we had a light breakfast then walked the dog along the prom. It was a beautiful morning, and there were quite a few people about, but not as many as usual.
We had dinner early, 12.30, to give us the maximum time to digest turkey, gammon, stuffing, pigs in blankets, swede, carrots, green beans, sprouts and roast potatoes.
Maggie had her share and cleaned her dish, so we were pleased about that.
We were so full, we didn’t want our puddings, so they’ve gone back in the cupboard for the time being, probably New Year.
Another long walk round the park with the dog, then back home to nibbles and White Christmas. Yes, I cried.

Today we’ve had 3 walks with the dog, and I didn’t fancy breakfast. Lunch was cold meat and bubble and squeak, but the puddings are still in the cupboard, though we did have our mince pies.
Tomorrow I am cooking fish for Hubby and I shall have tomato pasta. Pudding optional!

Santa was kind and generous.
Inside the box at the back were at least twenty small individually wrapped gifts, and amongst this pile, two were for Maggie..
One was her favourite chews and the other was this:
A very special pressie indeed because it was especially for her:
Lots of edibles there, but some lovely surprises:
Finally, I’ve got one
We set it up today and it’s great!

I have also been given my next project:
and my own reindeer
I bought Hubby a new owl, so meet our Owl family
The new addition is the one at the front on the left.
We were also sent an air freshener diffuser from Bro which is in the bedroom, and these are the flowers from OB

This was me at the end of today.
It’s been a great Christmas.
Hope yours was too!

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have an elderly dog called Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.
