Frank’s challenge this week is to bring out the magic of the holidays.
I mentioned a little while ago that it wasn’t until I was in my 50s that I realised reindeer were real.
Being able to feed and pet them that day in the market square was magical for me, but sadly we had no photos.
Fast forward to last year and seeing the automaton reindeer in the garden centre, but again, no camera to take pictures.
This year we were ready, and when we visited with our neighbour, Hubby took some photos which I’ve already posted.
The magic of Christmas is paramount in my heart more than ever now, and I felt quite tearful watching the models singing ‘Baby It’s Cold Outside’.
I find it sad to a degree that some children don’t experience half of what I feel at this time of year. I know I’m a sentimental ninny who wears my heart on my sleeve sometimes, but little things like huge displays in a garden centre intended to enthrall the kids certainly knocked the socks off me.
