Flash Fiction for the Purposeful Practitioner is a weekly writing challenge designed for both the flash fiction newbie and the more experienced writer. It is the desire of this challenge to allow writers the opportunity to clear the cobwebs from a more tedious and involved project. Becoming a part of a new and growing writer’s community might be just what the doctor ordered to rejuvenate your writing juices.
Roger Shipp is our host for this challenge. You can check out his blog and how to participate here: https://wordpress.com/read/feeds/52996392/posts/2514843072.

Young Tom was excited to such an extent that he couldn’t keep still.
His friends had been to see a Santa in the local shopping mall, but as his birthday was on Christmas Day, he was going to visit the real Santa in the North Pole!
He bounced happily in his seat.
‘Wow Mum,’ he exclaimed.
‘Look at those reindeer and sled tracks on the road! We must be getting close!!’
His parents looked at each other with tears in their eyes at their son’s wonder, precious memories in the making.
