I gave The Precious a test drive tonight seeing as I was going out and wanted to look my best.
I wore the outfit I wore to the New Year party when we were on the boat, though I have to admit, I looked thinner tonight than I do here!
Tonight was the first time I’ve worn a bra since my surgery and wearing my falsie AKA The Precious balanced up the sides.
The new pre-Humphrey bras I found were OK, but don’t have enough dividing material between the cups, so I resorted to my usual sports bra and that was OK.
It felt weird though. I still have the ‘football’ under my arm, and wearing the bra emphasises that but it should disperse eventually and wasn’t noticeable under my top.
Even weirder was the sound of hydraulics every time I leaned forward so I am going to have to invest in some better fitting bras afterall as there isn’t enough support in any of mine to keep The Precious properly in place. Also, designs have pockets inside for prosthetics which should keep the vacuum noises at bay! It wasn’t uncomfortable though, kept a good shape and looked natural.
Everyone commented on how nice I looked and said it was a good fit. I felt great.
My plan had been that should it become uncomfortable or keep shifting, I’d go to the ladies and remove it as well as my bra, but I didn’t have to.
I’m happy to continue as I have been though. I’m not self conscious or embarrassed and firmly believe comfort is the order of the day. However, it is nice to have the option.
I hollering laughing at the hydraulics!! 🤣
And…. I have an egg under my arm that just is…. oh well…. maybe I should name it!! 😳😏
I’ve been told the football will eventually reduce. It was odd hearing The Precious ‘talk’ to me!
Precious is the perfect name!
My neighbour came up with it,
Ha! Good for her.
Di! You the bomb babe! You look fantastic! I really love the outfit!!
Thanks. The pic is from 2016, so not recent, but I like the outfit. I’ve worn it a few times as it’s the smartest things I own other than my jeans (I have a frock but no accessories, like shoes!!!)
Again, you look great!
I have nominated you for The Sunshine Blogger Award!

thank you! I’ve just read your post, so will get on it.
Congratulations to you!!! 💓
🙂 Just posted.
Looking great Di.
The pic was taken in 2016, but I seem to have lost a bit of weight round my torso since, though I still have my budda belly.
I thought it was a new one. I think once we acquire our belly, short of plastic surgery, we cannot get rid of it completely. 👍❤️
If I had reconstruction, they would use tissue from my belly. However, should cancer develop in the other breast and I lose that, they couldn’t use it twice, so it would have to come from my thigh or bum!
That would be very invasive.
Too many sites for healing and potential infection, but then I’m happy as things are so it’s not an issue with me.
I agree. Better avoid complications.
Well done! And I think you are very brave to take all this in your stride. 🙂
Thanks. It certainly doesn’t faze me anyway.
Thank heaven for the fact I have no need to confine my heaving bosom!
I’m preferring to be ‘free’ at the moment.
I must say I had to giggle when I read about the hydraulics. I love your sense of humor 🙂❤️
Thanks Christine. It’s what keeps me going sometimes.
Yes humor can get us through most things and I can see you have been through a tough time Di. Wishing you all the best my dear ❤️🥰
You too Christine.
