What time is it??????

Three bloody thirty and I’ve been up with the dog every five or ten minutes since half past midnight when she wanted to go out to be sick. Great.
No mess indoors though for which I’m grateful she has always been considerate, but she’s been restless and her tummy is churning.
I’m sort of dressed and made myself a cup of tea, but that’s just woken me up so I can’t sleep now. Her ladyship is though, so I’m going to leave her, though I don’t know how long it will last, bless her.

We lost again tonight but by a better margin of 8 points to 4. The venue was like playing in a ghost town as apart from the two darts teams and a male chalker, no-one else was there!
The food was good though, stew with crusty bread and chips, so I tucked well in.
The girls played well and all bar 2 games went to double 1, so it was a late night. Not sure about the other team. I didn’t know anyone and one player was a bit ‘off’ with me for some reason. In fairness though, the pairings were evenly matched, and they had four scores over 100.
I had a practice this afternoon and threw a few arrows, with Hubby keeping a note of the score. I asked him to add them up and I needed 51 to complete a 301 game. 17 double 17, straight in, so I was well pleased.  Not up to playing for real though. I was exhausted so I shall leave it until the second round in the New Year before I play again.

Seems Hubby had a bit of excitement while we were out in that someone was trying to get over the fence into next door. Maggie went nuts when Hubby let her out, the guy swore (and hopefully s h ! t himself) then legged it without gaining access. He’s going to see if he can put up some deterrents on both sides of our fences.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too. On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

    Poor Maggie and you.

  2. 1. Good Maggie for chasing away the bad guy; and
    2. Aww, poor Maggie for feeling poorly.

I hope Maggie feels better and you get a nap in. It’s pouring here so I’m definitely going to get an extra snooze in today x

Not sure where the saying, “sick as a dog” originated, but it comes to mind.

Sounds familiar! Apart from the various “antics” with Ray over the years, I still think that having a dog is (at least for me) like having kids all over again. 🙂

I hope Maggie feels better soon – and you can catch up on your rest!
Scary to find someone in your garden!

Hope Maggie’s tummy settles down. As for the would-be intruder, did your hubby get a good enough look at him to contact the police?

  7. Tha last part is pretty scary. I wound freak out too.

  8. Hopefully that person climbing over the fence didn’t thrown anything bad into your yard to make Maggie sick. Poor thing. And poor you. Hope you’re both better, and rested, by now.
