Michael’s challenge:

The word ‘cup’ is synonymous with everyday life.
We start the day with a cuppa…..we compete for the cup as a prize…..we sometimes say our cup runneth over…..in cooking we add a cup of this and or that….we even at times cup our hands around something…
This week create a story in which the word ‘cup’ features. What associations do you have with it?
I’m reblogging part of a post I did way back in February 2017 as it fits the bill perfectly for Michael’s challenge this week.
The management had taken him on and he now held a key position in the Residential Cocktail Lounge.
He just needed to invent a Signature Cocktail and the world would be his oyster.
He spied her across the room, the trophy wife always making sly innuendos out of earshot of her sugar daddy husband.
Her dress, or lack of it, consisted of a bejewelled brassiere under a transparent chiffon haze leaving nothing to the imagination.
Making professional small talk, he threw a shot of half a dozen spirits into a shaker, added ice and a slither of mint, then shook it expertly.
Coating the rim of a cocktail glass with sugar and lemon juice, he poured the frothy concoction over 2 olives and watched it bubble.
She sipped.
‘Wow! This packs a kick. What do you call it?
‘Storm in a D Cup’ he replied with a straight face.
Good one!
I remembered writing it and thought it worth another airing
