It’s been a long day, up at 5.30 and on the road by 6.15 after breakfast and walking the dog.
Three hundred and forty seven miles later and having been drained of about 100ml of liquid, the football is now more of a tennis ball and the results are in.
I am in the clear. Hurrah!
The relief was immense, and I should be back to my usual routine by the New Year.
I saw my assigned nurse today and she told me the good news. My consultant is on holiday so I was due to see either her boss or a member of the team, hence my nurse.
It has been suggested to change my medication, but having read the leaflet on the alternative, I have a few questions. The more I think about it, the more I’d prefer to stay on the meds I’m on, so I shall be draftng a letter before I switch.
I have two new targets now, one is to get my exercises under my belt, even if it means taking some pain relief until the soreness goes away, and the other is to get back in the driving seat by driving short distances. Hubby did all the driving today and it has exhausted him.
Luckily tomorrow is a quiet day.
