Oh the bliss, the joy, the happiness, the pleasure…………………..
Hubby says I’m glowing and it’s not a trick of the light.
I HAVE HAD A SHOWER!
This is my first in two weeks………………… urgh. I feel grubby admitting it.
We invested in some Simple shower wash with no added perfumes and it lathers up a treat. I just stood with my back to the shower head and relished in the warm ‘rain’.
Not up to washing my hair in it yet as I can’t raise my arms above my head properly, but we can do that here with no problem.
Little dabs to dry myself, and oh, I feel human again.
Everything is looking good and the bruising is reducing. I find it hard to believe it’s happened. My heart shaped cushion and I are inseparable as it is just right for keeping the pressure off as I type or sleep.
Blood test yesterday ended up with more than a pricked finger so I have to wait for the results. They should be OK though and it was only a precaution anyway.
Cooking dinner today under supervision…………. McCheese for Hubby (he’ll grate) and tomato pasta for me. Can’t wait.

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes!
In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too.
On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts.
From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives.
We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.
The world feels a better place once you’re newly fresh and clean π

Just have. It was wonderful. Haven’t lost my touch!
So happy for you. I can only imagine how wonderful it must be to be back home and easing into your routine.
Nice to be in my own kitchen too.
Yes, with your things, where you want them to be. I know the feeling.

Ah… showers are awesome!
oh yeah!!!!
Really getting back to normal!
I feel I am, but realise I’m going to have good days and not so good days. It’s been a good day today, but the walk round the block was probably too early and although I’ll sleep well, I expect to be more tired tomorrow. To quote the Moody Blues, it’s all A Question of Balance
Lovely result. I can feel the joy!
oh yeah! You can’t beat that feel clean feeling
