D Day

Nineteen days ago, today seemed a long way away. I’ve scheduled this post to go out the morning of my op and in a few hours, it will all be done and Dick the Shit will be no more.
I have absorbed all your positive vibes, prayers, good wishes, hugs and support, and have a huge surplus in my overnight bag waiting in the wings. Thank you all.
Three years ago to the day (though the date was the 31st then) Humphrey bit the dust.
Dick and he can have a reunion party in the shit pit they deserve and I am proud to decline their invitation to be host.
It’s not all over for Dick though, he’s going to be sliced and diced and examined under various microscopes to find out why he turned up uninvited, which hopefully will help other women in the same situation as I was.

See you all soon.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have an elderly dog called Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.
