Take Seven #5

Our 21 words from the Three Things Challenges this week were:
allow, aristocrat, army, broad, fantastic, herald, honesty, lead, mist, personality, pimple, rail, range, record, rose, solace, stick, sugar, sunshine, team, twin.
No sugar coating, I rail with anger
Though my heart sinks like lead.
I will not be beaten
By this stick of fate.
Knowing what must be done,
The mist allows the sunshine
To herald a new day,
An army of hope twinned with solace emerges,
And the range of my world is broad and fantastic.
The smell of sweet honesty lingers,
As fragrant as any aristocratic rose
Refuting this pimple of unwanted presence.
My personality is not lost,
It is recorded within my soul and essence of being.
We are a team, it and I,
Just as You and I
Are together in this
As One.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have an elderly dog called Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.
