Our picture this week is provided by Dale Rogerson.
Alone and lonely, she sat in the park of her youth and remembered.
Remembered happy days of swings and roundabouts, screams of glee, delighted laughter, the security of a warm embrace and strong arms.
The tears fell.
‘Show me a sign.’ she begged inwardly. ‘Give me a reason to believe you are watching over me.’
Minutes passed and the night lights came on, one brighter than the rest with an added glow of intensity. Two signs warped, one depicting open arms to greet another walking head bowed into them.
She felt their warmth and knew she was no longer alone.
