Too Much!

It’s not often I have a rant, but yesterday’s Yahoo headlines took the biscuit as there were 30, yes THIRTY headlines about a certain royal couple and their baby abroad.

His nickname for baby.
Her nickname for baby.
Baby honouring Daddy with an outfit.
Baby wearing dungarees.
Wifey wearing the same dress.
Baby getting a foreign name.
Baby is like his Dad.
Tribute to Baby’s late grandmother.

To give just a few!
What was missing was the number of times he’d soiled his nappy, no spit ups on Mummy’s frock, and no sign of the current Nanny, whoever she may be now.

I didn’t bother reading, I had better things to do.
This morning, the papers are splashed with photos.
Yes Baby is cute and like his dad. So are millions of other offspring.
Mums wear the same outfits ALL THE TIME as they have little else.

I’m tired of it as there are more important things to report that should take priority and not be delegated to the inner pages in lesser columns in smaller print.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have recently lost our beloved dog Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney, and now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of my GSD so had hers done too. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

I agree and given his hatred of the press, it must drive him mad. I must say, I am no fan of hers.

  2. Sadje says:

The fascination with the royals sells news all over the world.

I am always impressed that royal mums manage to ascend and descend flights of stairs in very high heels without dropping the baby. That would be news if the baby was dropped!

They would really have to work at being boring to stop making news. Once you grab the public imagination the press worry stories like puppies with bones. In fact, it is at the stage now where being boring would also make news!
