It was the easiest hundred quid I ever earned.
OK, I didn’t bargain for the rain, but it didn’t dampen anyone’s spirits, in fact everyone was surprisingly cheerful.
All we had to do was stand in a queue, and for that we each got paid a century and meals were thrown in.
Of course no-one got their name on the final credits, but it was great to be an extra on the next 007 movie.

About pensitivity101
I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes!
We have recently lost our beloved dog Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney, and now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of my GSD so had hers done too.
From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives.
We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.
Awesome! ❤ Love it!
Thank you.
Good one! I want a stint like that.
Me too.
😉
Wow, My friends will be so jealous when I tell them I know a film star!
yay!
Nice, I would pay £100 to be in that queue 🙂
🙂 I’d rather receive £100……… I would stand in the rain and pray for shrinkage!
Dear Di,
That would be fun. Nicely told.
Shalom,
Rochelle
Thanks Rochelle.
I all for free food, and I would take the hundred notes. Great different use of the prompt picture
Thanks Michael.
Ha. A very good reason to stand in line.
Works for me………… if I was asked!!!
I think I would be temped, even if I wasn’t asked. 😎
A good way to earn a few bucks, indeed. 🙂
My friend was an extra in That’ll be The Day and met David Essex.
What a wonderful fantasy gig.
Hi Li. Thanks for commenting. I wouldn’t mind that
You’re welcome
Sounds like easy money!
🙂
I expect you can always say you are a movie star. i have watched filming in Glasgow of the Die Hard follow on movie – it was long and tedious and the shots in the main film only lasted a few minutes.
Most do end up on the cutting room floor I believe. My friend was in one shot, and you could just see her yellow shirt! However, it was a £25 shot for her all those years ago!!
What a great and original take, Di!
Thanks Dale!
