Things are going well at SW and I have maintained this week.
I am really pleased as I’ve had a few lapses, but when I think about the little extras I can have now, they aren’t actually lapses per se.
Once again I am bang on target, so have three pounds leeway each side.
The group lost a massive 44½ pounds between them this week, my two friends having small gains over a two and three week period so they weren’t surprised, neither were they despondent.
I remember when we were on the boat a group member being unable to lose the final couple of pounds or so to take her to target. She would gain one, then lose two, then gain again, that final goal always eluding her, and she was growing more and more depressed about it.
The group leader amended her target to the weight she had achieved and she was content with that, then stopped going.
My target was adjusted to less than what I had originally set as I dropped well below it.
I am finding it an interesting exercise keeping on track, still weighing my As and Bs, and a watchful eye on the syns I have. So far it is paying off, but I am not daft enough to think I’ve cracked it.
I believe that losing weight means changing your eating habits for life, not just a few months. I know my body well enough to realise that once it ‘gets used to’ my revised intake, things will change again and I will have to make adjustments. As a target member, I do not have to attend group every week, but I intend to for the simple reason that I will become aware of the subtle changes before they become an issue and I have to start again.
congrats! keep up the good work.
Thanks Jim. It’s all going rather well at the moment.
that’s what Ilove to hear!
