Saturday Mix – Sound Bite, 31 August 2019

Welcome to Sarah’s Saturday Mix – Sound Bite, 31 August 2019!

This week we are hearing things, as we explore the use of ONOMATOPOEIA. You will need to use the THREE onomatopoeic words in your response – which can be poetry or prose.

Our three words, using onomatopoeia are:
bark
chomp
giggle

It was unfortunate that Bella’s voice sounded like a foghorn and she tended to bark at you in the guise of asking a question.
Her sister Alicia was completely the opposite, softly spoken but with a wicked sense of humour who always managed to fail miserably stifling her giggles at her sister’s vocal range.
The two were great friends though, which was unusual for sisters in most circles, and happy to chomp away between themselves at any morsel of gossip that came their way.
Saying that, this was where the gossip stopped as they never passed it on.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have an elderly dog called Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

Sounds like they are well-suited as both sisters and as friends. Good story.
