100 Word Wednesday: Week 135

Now this is an intriguing Image by Cyranny to work with this week!
Jemma was not impressed.
‘Stepping out’ had seemed such a quaint expression, one she remembered from her grandparents reminiscences of their courtship.
Stairway to the Stars didn’t cover it either and as a sculpture, this was not something one would actually climb.
She did try to follow the curves and step sequence though to see if it was possible and her pensive smile gradually developed into a grin followed by titters, giggles and finally hysterical laughter.
Pete looked at her quizzically.
Wiping tears from her eyes, she said
‘Just imagine Aliens viewing humans and confusing us with hamsters on wheels.’

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have an elderly dog called Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

    Lol! Imagine that!!!

  2. colonialist says:

A nice fancy but wouldn’t happen. It is too apparent that the hamsters are far more intelligent and dedicated in their workouts!

  3. bikurgurl says:

In fact, many of us live our lives like that – running circles and getting nowhere. What an interesting proposition! Thank you again for joining us 🖤

  4. Haha. Loved the ending. Good one, Di. 😄
