Just got back from weigh in and have lost half of the three pounds I gained last time.
This has actually put me bang on target, so I am really pleased.
The group collectively lost 52½ pounds this week, but for the month of August, it totalled a whopping 232 pounds!
We have a new couple who joined three weeks ago, and the guy has lost a stone and ten pounds already, so is going for his two stone certificate next week. His partner had a smaller loss, but they are working together.
Another member joined four weeks ago and is approaching her two stone certificate, after which she intends to set a date for her wedding.
The lady who was voted Woman of the Year got to her target this week, and has lost an amazing 7 stone 9½ pounds. Her husband has just got back in target and has lost a total of over 8 stone.
A new acquaintance who lives up the road from me achieved her revised target this week, and has lost four stone and 3 pounds altogether.
The larger losses have taken some considerable time to achieve, but it was just such a positive meeting tonight, it can’t help but make you feel glad to be part of it.

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes!
In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too.
On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts.
From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives.
We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.
That’s really good.
That is incredible! You are all doing so well. You all deserve a gold star.
Isn’t it wonderful?
It is! Your leader must be thrilled.
She was, but this week was her last as a consultant as she was just filling in for the one who was on maternity leave. As from next week, she will take her place as a group member instead. I’m glad she’s staying with the group I attend.
It’s wonderful that she is.
Her baby (6th!!) is due in November, so she’s seeing a different aspect of SW too. It’s a lovely group and I’m glad I’m part of it.
6!!!! My goodness!
She’s expecting a little boy.
That’s quite a brood!
Rather her than me I think! Though I did hope for a large family when I was younger, it just wasn’t meant to happen for me.
Rather her than me too. I never wanted children. I like them well enough and love everyone else’s but never wanted any of my own.
For years my family thought I didn’t want any either, and it wasn’t until 2010 that they understood it just didn’t happen for me. Probably why I get on better with dogs if I’m honest!
Probably. But I’ve always been the same with animals. They are the only babies I’ve ever wanted 😊
They’re also cheaper!
They are indeed. And you don’t have to worry about them driving the car and staying out too late
Or asking for an advance!!!
Exactly.
Very inspiring
Extremely positive and they are a good group. The one I was in before was good, but this one is better, probably because it’s smaller and more personal.
