The Mystery Blogger Award : 12th August

Many thanks to Rory of aguycalledbloke who has kindly gifted me this award.
This is just so nice.

So? What is the Mystery Blogger Award?

“Mystery Blogger Award” is an award for amazing bloggers with ingenious posts. Their blog not only captivates; it inspires and motivates. They are one of the best out there, and they deserve every recognition they get. This award is also for bloggers who find fun and inspiration in blogging; and they do it with so much love and passion.

Three things about me:

I quit smoking on May 9th 1991 (had a single half-puff at a Christmas party and wondered what the hell I was doing! That was my last)

I can’t whistle.

I love fresh beetroot, but it gives me migraine so I can only eat it pickled in vinegar (the beetroot, not me).

Rory’s questions.

Tomorrow is the end of humanity. What destroys us?
Greed and pigheadedness.

If you try to fail, and succeed, which have you done?
You’ve succeeded, so failure isn’t actually an option.

If your best friend had murdered someone would you help bury the body?
Depending on the victim, I may have been asking them to help me.

What was the weirdest, strangest and most mysterious phone call you ever took or made?
The third in one evening from the same double glazing company so I asked if they actually spoke to each other and if they could fit a conservatory to a penthouse flat.
They hung up.

Ying, Yang, Yong, Yeng and Yung, which is best that describes your personality and why?
My personality is more Ping Pong, though I try to have a Yung outlook (sorry).

I wish to gift this award to
Lorraine of blindzanygirl
Gary of abereavedsingledad
Jim of newepicauthor

So, now for my five questions:

If you were a member of the opposite sex for a week, what would you find the most difficult?

Have you ever eaten an oyster?

Have you had a conversation with an imaginary person/friend and then discover someone had eavesdropped?

When shopping, do you squeeze a loaf of bread to test for freshness?

What is your favourite dessert?

Rory GIFTED this award to me rather than nominate me, so I shall pass on his terminology as follows:

You are under no bound obligation to gift it forwards yourselves and can simply accept them as the gifted compliments to your blog that they are.

You do not have to answer any of the questions unless you so choose to do, you do not have to further gift out if you do not choose to do so either. Also should you choose to decline the gift, please do not feel as if l am offended, l am not – my GIFT to your blog is purely a compliment.

I shall add that the guidelines are simply that, not rules.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have recently lost our beloved dog Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney, and now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of my GSD so had hers done too. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

  5. Lisa Coleman says:

Congrats on your award and good for you for quitting smoking. It’s been 31 years for me, but not smoke-free. I had 3 the week my grand-daughter died in 2009. Just enough to calm down & get through the week. I still maintain my quit date of June 1988. Love your answers!

    • Hi Lisa. I am so sorry for your loss. How tragic for you and the family.
Quitting smoking was one of the best things I’ve ever done and I’ve never looked back. I was a 40 a day girl and at over £10 for a pack of 20, couldn’t afford to smoke now even if I wanted to. Hubby quit the week before rather than us give up at the same time and be grouchy, so we started married life as non smokers.
