Instead of washing it at a lower temperature as per the label, he’d used a hot wash to get the dirt out. It was a catastrophe as it had made the garment shrink.
It was crunch time and he had to own up.
As he looked into her fulgurant eyes, he knew from her capricious nature that she would flip, though he’d hoped she wouldn’t blow it all out of proportion.
Sadly she did not have the capacity for forgiveness, or to see the funny side that it would fit one of her their daughters as she snatched it from his hand, her back as rigid as fiberglass with fury.
