Sunday Writing Prompt “Troll Forest”

The two youngsters had decided to run way as they were fed up with being told what to do by their elders.
Unbeknown to them, this was quite common for Trolls their age and so steps had been taken for their safe passage without their knowledge.
The route was well travelled, so it was easy for the Minder Scouts to hide in dense foliage, signals long since developed passing along the line depicting their progress.

The forest was so thick, it wasn’t long before darkness began to fall. Confused and afraid, they lost their sense of direction and began to cry.
This too had been anticipated and a voice from above beckoned them forward.
He put them on the right path so they were soon home again and the party could begin!

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too. On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

A very nice story woven around all the pictures.

  2. It is such a great story! And the pictures are great, adding magic.
I love forest trolls and everything related to it.
What is your favourite genre to read and write?

    • Now you’ve asked………I write whatever comes into my head from a prompt or something I see will trigger a poem (so sometimes it’s utter rubbish!), and for reading, I don’t do as much of that now as I used to. I like a good story, but not one that means I have to keep backtracking to keep abreast of the characters. I was a fan of Jack Reacher (Lee Child’s 6′ 5″ hero) until they cast Tom Cruise in the role which was totally bizarre, though in my twenties I was very much into Stephen King, James Herbert and John Saul. Not really a romance kinda gal, though Cathy Kelly and Erica James have written some lovely stuff that has made me cry. Had over 80 books by Sandra Brown, she wrote slushy stuff I could read in a day if the mood took, but some of her novels (Where there’s Smoke, Envy, Mirror Image, Witness, Breath of Scandal, Lethal) were good stories that held my interest.

  3. Great job incorporating the photos!
