Saturday Mix – Unique Personality, 27 July 2019

Welcome to the Saturday Mix – Unique Personality, 27 July 2019!
This week we are diving into the depths of PERSONIFICATION. Our challenge is all about the use of personification in our writing. You will need to use the statement provided in your response – which can be poetry or prose.

Our statement using, personification is:

His car suffered a severe stroke in the middle of the road, and refused to move forward.
Thanks Sarah! Check it out and join in here

It was his own fault really. She’d been coughing and spluttering for a few days, but other things seemed to occupy his mind so he wasn’t really surprised when his car suffered a severe stroke in the middle of the road and refused to move forward.
It refused to move backwards too, so alone, he valiantly pushed it to the side of the road rather than other motorists have to treat him like a roundabout.
No matter how much prayed as he tinkered under the bonnet to the extent his knowledge permitted, his faithful and loyal companion of the road was defunct.
She had farted out a discharge of goo and oil was bleeding profusely from her underbelly as a steamy offering rose upwards in defeat.
It was the end of a beautiful relationship, and tearing up at happy memories of their early life together, he got on his mobile and called the towing company.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have recently lost our beloved dog Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney, and now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of my GSD so had hers done too. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.
