Sammi’s challenge:
A word prompt to get your creativity flowing this weekend. How you use the prompt is up to you. Write a piece of flash fiction, a poem, a chapter for your novel…anything you like. Or take the challenge below – there are no prizes – it’s not a competition but rather a fun writing exercise.

Who are we to judge what we see?
It is all so easy sitting on the sidelines
Coming to our own conclusions
As we criticize a stranger.
We do not know the circumstances or reasons.
We can show compassion which may be misplaced,
Or turn a blind eye to suit our beliefs.
We become deaf to the cries of humanity,
Turn our back and walk away.
Unless we have been there,
Walked the same path,
Experienced what they have,
Felt the pain and trauma of their life,
Who are we to judge what we see?

About pensitivity101
I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes!
In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too.
On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts.
From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives.
We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.
Absolutely right! My sentiments exactly.
Excellent, Di!
Thanks Dale
I agree! And judgemental people are so hurtful! I’ve had a few of those in my time! It is painful!
My MIL was like that, though I never gave her the satisfaction of seeing me cry. I tried to make allowances, but in the end she was just a bitter old woman who didn’t get her way with me.
Sorry you had to deal with someone like that, not pleasant at all
She never knew how to handle me as I wouldn’t pander to her whims and pettiness. I got on well with my FIL though. We used to have great debates, which drove MIL nuts, so we did it even more. hehe
Lol 🤣
