Our picture (should we chose to use it)
and our line for this week is:
They congregated up in the hills, far away from judging eyes.
Nobody understood, or even wanted to. They were so blinkered by their narrow minded opinions, They could not see beyond what was in front of their very noses.
It was laughable in a way, but the two were doing nothing wrong. In fact, they were lucky that things had turned out the way they had and they had this shot at happiness. If only They’d leave them alone instead of condemning them.
It was to be a simple affair, just the two of them, an Official to conduct the ceremony and a handful of friends as witnesses.
The backdrop was wondrous. Open spaces and a sense of freedom from the hypocritical community they had left behind. A new life full of opportunity lay ahead, though both appreciated it would not necessarily be an easy path.
As they took their vows, they promised to love, honour and cherish each other and the special relationship they had.
They were not brother and sister or even related as outsiders believed. A twist of fate had brought one’s mother to the other’s father, and they too had found happiness together.
