Well ???????

Weigh in tonight, and I decided to walk down to the hall as I hadn’t done much walking today.
Apart from breakfast I hadn’t had anything to eat, and when I left home only three cups of tea in total.
Usually it’s not a good thing to ‘starve’ myself or skip meals, but the dentist said not to eat anything for at least three hours, so I thought I’d hang on and have something after group.

The meals this week have been pretty much the same as previous weeks, but I have had a couple that were different:

Left we have a pork chop with new potatoes (from next door’s garden), beans, carrots, broccoli and 2 stuffing balls at 2 syns each.
Right is the left over ginger and fresh pineapple sauce with some spam thrown in and rice for Hubby.
This was my meal with a jacket potato and loads of veg, which attracted 4 syns for the spam which had been carefully weighed.
I had one of the jellies with some frozen fruit and yoghurt, plus a sprinkling of granola on top as the container only had crumbs in it and it looked lonely (I allowed 2 syns for it though).

After last week’s eight ounce gain (so much more reasonable than saying half a pound!) I was determined to lose it and hopefully a bit more, so this week not a single piece of salad or egg have passed my lips.

I smashed it.
A whopping FOUR POUND LOSS this week, and although it was the best loss of the group, I didn’t get Slimmer of The Week because I had that little gain last week. Shucks.
This is now pride of place on the framed jigsaw puzzle in the lounge,
and somewhere up on the prom is a slice of cheesecake with my name on it because I promised it to myself once I hit target.

I signed on for 12 weeks intending to lose the weight I’d put on after my radiotherapy finished. This is week 11, and as long as I stay within three pounds either side of my target weight, I do not have to pay!

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too. On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

Awesome result! I was doing slimming world for a while too. I lost 2 stone! Its a great programme!

    • Well done!!!
I was two pounds away from my three stone certificate when I had to stop for my radiotherapy. If I lose another two and a half pounds now I will achieve my stone and a half certificate and also my Plus 10 with this new group, even though I have reached the target I set myself. This is within the three pound parameter either side and if I do it, I will still get my certificates even though I am at target. It’s a great feeling.
