Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “instructions.” Write instructions for anything you know how to do. As detailed or as rambling as you’d like. Enjoy!
Oh, the wonderful instructions that have been translated from English into multiple languages and then translated back again, sometimes not meaning the same thing at all!
From recipes to cleaning, something always goes awry, so I’m choosing something really straight forward:
Chose the area in which you wish to work.
Remove all obstacles from the surface.
Select your chosen application container.
A: If spray, push button and spray said cleared surface.
Wipe quickly with a clean dry cloth to remove streaks.
B: If solid, dip cloth in substance and smear on said cleared surface.
Rub vigorously until shiny.
Replace obstacles on shiny surface.
Done, and dusted (and p0lished).
As an aside, and something that was actually included in the instructions for collapsing a stroller:
‘First remove the child’.
😂😂😂
Reblogged this on All About Writing and more.

Hi Charly. The SoCS challenge is set by Linda Hill, but thanks for the nod.
Got you, I´ll have to send Linda Hill a nod, also to you for expreding the words.
🙂
Hilarious! I have come across the ones which are translated from Chinese. They are unbelievable.😂😂😂
They can be quite entertaining!
They are unless you’re trying to follow the instructions! Then it’s a nightmare 😱
Flat pack furniture anyone?????
Oh those are the worst! With ikea, they mostly have illustrations! No words.
A picture solves all……… sort of!
Not exactly!
