Week Nine: the pictures

Only a couple more weeks of my Countdown package and I am hoping to hit target (or beyond) either tonight or by the last one.
We’ve had a few salad days this past week as it’s been so hot. Usually it backfires on me and I retain the water, but I’ve tried to be sensible. We shall see. I discovered a few years ago that I didn’t have this problem if I had chips!! Chips are a no-no as a rule, though a 100g portion of wedges will set me back only 2½ syns. Have them with the breaded cod we like, and that’s a whopping 11 syns in total, so most of my 15 allowance!
The above was Hubby’s meal not mine as I had a tuna jacket potato with the leftovers of my beetroot salsa from last week’s tasting session.
I tried for a couple of SP days but ended up having potatoes and pasta which although free, are not speed food.
In addition to the steak salad, we both had cold meat one day, and I also had Light Mini Babybels and prawns on later days.

It wasn’t all lettuce though as I made another vegetarian lasagna, a chicken curry, and had a three egg mushroom omelette one evening.

I’ve already done posts on desserts this week, so all that remains now is How Did I Do?
The bad news is I’ve gained this week. The good news is it’s just half a pound, and I am convinced it’s down to the number of salads I’ve had as I have not over-synned any day.
As weigh-in is done and dusted, I’ve come home wanting to eat everything in sight, but settled on cheese on toast, boiled eggs, and gingernut biscuits, so have maxed out on syns today.
Back to basics (and no salad!) next week as my aim is to lose the pound and a half required to target.
Wish me luck!!!

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too. On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

Best of luck! I am sure you will do it next week.

  2. Good luck on arriving at the weight you want to achieve. I do not feel you are overweight from your pictures. You have a very bodies form that demands weight.

  3. Good luck. Your food always looks wonderful
