Saturday Mix – Unique Personality, 29 June 2019

Welcome to the Saturday Mix – Unique Personality, 29 June 2019!

This week we are diving into the depths of PERSONIFICATION. Our challenge is all about the use of personification in our writing. You will need to use the statement provided in your response – which can be poetry or prose.
Our statement using, personification is:

The flood raged over the entire village.

To run was futile as the flood raged over the entire village.
Nothing was spared as the torrent devoured everything in its path.
Those who had seen the signs had moved to higher ground days before, but many were foolish in their belief that the river would not burst its banks purely because it had never done so before.
A constant water supply had been their salvation, now it was their destruction.
Times and weather patterns were changing.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have an elderly dog called Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.
