that’s all I needed and my second certificate would have been in the bag.
However, I am VERY happy with a two and a half pound loss this week and those extra eight ounces can wait until next week! Note to self: must eat more roughage/fibre.
More experiments in the kitchen methinks as we go into Week 8, and I am 99% confident that One Stone certificate has my name on it next week.

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes!
In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too.
On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts.
From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives.
We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.
You are doing exceptionally well. Congratulations!
Thanks Fransi. It seems to have worked for me this week, Let’s hope it’s as good next week!
It will be, You are so on top of it.
I’m applying myself better this time round I think.
You are absolutely on top of this. You think about and plan every meal you have.
I must admit I am rather enjoying my recent ‘experiments’.
You should get a lot of satisfaction from what you’re doing — aside from the fact that your “experiments” look and taste so good. What you’re doing goes beyond the vanity side of dieting. You are really doing something positive for your health and you are investing a lot of time in it. It’s all really good.
I have the time and inclination now, it’s not just about losing weight, but helping my joints and diabetes too. I might fussily arrange things on the plate rather than dump it on by the spoonful, but if it looks good, somehow it tastes better and less boring!
I agree. We eat with our eyes first.
That’s a good line Fransi! You could post it for the One Liner Wednesday challenge!
Thanks Di. I never do the challenges. You do it.
Have scheduled it for Wednesday.
👍 good!
Congrats 🎉
I’m going for the stone certificate next week…… with surplus! Steady loss of a pound a week and it should stay off.
That is excellent
shame about that other half a pound, but hey, two and a half is well in! Even better, I’m only 3lbs away from the target I set myself.
Two and a half pound is fantastic loss! Hurrah!
The older we get, the tougher it gets. Hubby and I are doing lo carb and are both down to our last 10# to lose. Hard!!
BTW, I tagged you in this post, participation is optional.

Thanks Donna.
I’m hoping for another pound loss next week, and just 3 away from the target I set myself when I rejoined. I may well move that and go for another half a stone. It depends where I’m at at the end of my 12 weeks.
Thanks for the tag. Will get on it shortly. 🙂
Excellent! 🙂
I’m really pleased.
